About the Role:

As HR Business Partner, you’ll support managers in building strong, accountable teams. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, this role is focused on performance, coaching, and employee relations, with a clear expectation that issues are addressed early and directly.

You will partner with managers to navigate feedback conversations, performance concerns, and team challenges with clarity and consistency. You are comfortable in hard conversations, steady in sensitive situations, and disciplined about documentation. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build strong managers, protect standards, and operate as a steady, trusted partner inside a growing, AI-enabled company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Directors and managers to improve team performance and effectiveness.
  • Coach managers on feedback delivery, difficult conversations, and accountability.
  • Lead corrective action processes, including drafting and managing performance improvement plans.
  • Own employee relations matters end-to-end for designated functions.
  • Conduct or support investigations with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Prepare managers for and participate in termination conversations as needed.
  • Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and defensible.
  • Identify trends in performance, engagement, and turnover and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Reinforce leadership expectations and standards consistently across teams.
  • Support organizational changes, restructures, and role clarity work.
  • Partner closely with HR Operations to ensure policy alignment and compliance.
  • Contribute to manager enablement efforts grounded in real business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful HRBP or employee relations depth.
  • Strong judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience leading difficult conversations with clarity and composure.
  • Direct, concise communication style.
  • Balanced approach to empathy and accountability.
  • Solid understanding of employment law fundamentals.
  • Strong follow-through and ownership mindset.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, scaling organization.
