- Serve as the primary owner and administrator of HR systems (including Rippling and related tools), defining systems strategy, architecture, and integrations, maintaining data integrity, system configuration, reporting accuracy, and scalable workflows as the company grows.
- Lead, coach, and manage one Specialist, setting clear priorities, execution standards, and operating rhythms while reviewing work for quality, accuracy, and consistency, with accountability for evolving the structure and capability of the HR Operations function over time.
- Design, document, and continuously improve HR operations processes, policies, and controls, establishing scalable infrastructure and governance frameworks, with a strong focus on automation, efficiency, risk reduction, and employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all operating jurisdictions, owning enterprise-level compliance strategy and risk mitigation efforts, conducting regular audits of people practices, files, and systems and addressing gaps proactively.
- Partner closely with HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders as needed to operationalize policies, benefits programs, payroll processes, and workforce changes, translating business strategy into scalable operational execution.
- Act as a primary point of escalation for complex HR operations issues, providing sound operational judgment and ensuring sensitive matters are handled with discretion and consistency, while advising senior leadership on operational risk and resolution strategy.
- Own HR operations reporting and analytics, delivering accurate, actionable insights related to headcount, turnover, compliance, benefits utilization, and workforce trends, ensuring reporting integrity supports executive and board-level decision making.
- Evaluate and implement AI, automation, and systems integrations to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and enable the HR team to focus on higher-impact initiatives, building a long-term automation roadmap aligned to company growth.
- Lead or support company-wide operational initiatives such as system implementations, benefits changes, policy rollouts, audits, and growth-related projects, serving as the accountable HR Operations lead for enterprise-scale initiatives.
